Founded in the Middle Ages on a rocky outcrop to ensure its security, the village of La-Roque-sur-Cèze has developed harmoniously over the centuries. Classified as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" since 2007, its narrow, paved streets had already earned it a listing in the inventory of French sites in 1958. Its 11th-century castle, its chapel, and its Romanesque Charles-Martel bridge are all patrimonial assets that lend this small village its most beautiful charms.
