La Combe aux Abeilles
Presentation
Benjamin chose to set up his first beehives in the village where he grew up. He practices transhumance and produce acacia, chestnut and heather honey...
La Combe aux Abeilles was set up in 2016 with just a few hives, and now has around 200 hives spread across the communes around Bordezac.
"I practise transhumant beekeeping, depending on flowering, up to 60 km around the farm, with the aim of producing a raw, quality honey.
The honey is harvested in the apiary, and all the extraction and potting is done in the honey house.
In addition to beekeeping, I make jams and jellies using fruit grown on the farm, wild fruit picked near where I live or fruit bought from farmer friends.
