GAEC Escargot des Restanques
Presentation
Welcome to the Escargots des Restanques farm! On-farm sales all year round. When the weather's fine, Rémy will share his snails' lives with you during a 1-hour visit.
Our 400,000 snails are bred at Saint-Remèze in southern Ardèche, not far from the Gorges de l'Ardèche.
They are raised in open-air pens, seeded with clover and forage radish.
They feed exclusively on a vegetable base of crushed cereals, with calcium added for shell formation.
We offer tours of the farm and original recipes for all occasions.
Since June 1, 2025, Les escargots des restanques has been run by the Frères Royé, a market-garden and wine-growing farm on 25 hectares of organically farmed land in the commune of Rosières in the Sud-Ardèche region.
We wish you a wonderful discovery!
